 Becoming a Probate Detective: Rejoicing in the Probate Files of our Ancestors

 

This presentation introduces the basics of probate and demonstrates what invaluable clues and information may be found in a probate file.

Dawn's lecture will take the form of a live online presentation.  Unfortunately, we must limit participation to members only, and only the first 100 people who attempt to join it will be admitted.  No pre-registration is required for this event, and there will be no charge to view it.  All members will receive an email on Friday afternoon, April 3, with instructions on joining the online meeting.  Sign in will begin at 9:50 am on Saturday.

Dawn is a genealogical researcher and instructor at heart who specializes in the Southeastern Pennsylvania and the Southern New Jersey regions of the United States. She is the Vice President of the Greater Philadelphia Area Chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists. Dawn holds a certificate in genealogical research from Boston University and volunteers as a genealogist at the Camden County Historical Society in Camden County, NJ. Dawn also lectures and teaches various genealogy courses throughout the year.
