| Text of obituary: | Joyce W (Nee Kramer) Oettel ,73, of Levittown, died Sunday at Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol. Born in Perkasie, Mrs Oettel was a resident of Levittown for 40 years. She was a registered nurse since 1941. She was employed with the Bucks County Schools, Intermediate Unit 22 for 26 years, working with the profoundly handicapped as a teacher’s aide until her retirement in 1983. Mrs. Oettel was an active member of St. Joseph the Worker Church where she sang in the church choir for 37 years. She Was the daughter of the late Franklin and Bessie Kramer. She is survived by her husband, Karl R. Oettel, two daughters: Mary Elizabeth Pettigrew of Bettendorf, Iowa and Joann Cosgrove of Yardley; eight sisters: Hope Mood of Punta Gorda, Fla.; Margaret Hodes of Fort Myers Fla.; Doris Capaldi of North Wales,; Nancy Maurer of Perkasie; Mary Lou Miller of Soring House; Barbara Jacobs of Oreland; Patsy Blake of Willow Grove; two brothers: Charles Richard Kramer of Hatboro, and William Kramer of Palm Coast, Fla.; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to calling hours Thursday 9 to 10AM at Dougherty Funeral Home Inc. Levittown. A Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 AM at St Joseph the Worker Church with internment at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery. |
