While they have no records to research, the museum has a wealth of historical information and artifacts on immigration, not only for Jewish people, but all immigrants from 1880-1945.

Additional information:
This museum is a Smithsonian Institution affiliate.
They feature "It's Your Story" which allows visitors to records their own stories to "help create a living portrait of how America shapes its immigrants, and is shaped by them."
They currently have a Rube Goldberg exhibit which opened the day we visited. Fantastic replicas of his inventions and comics with hands-on activities. #rubenmajh.
I visited the museum while on a field trip with my 3rd graders. The tour guides were not only extremely informative and knowledgeable, but very passionate.
